Often teachers tell me that my works don't fit my personal style, or aren't professional enough for my portfolio. I like a lot of those works, and it is sad for them to die because someone else doesn't like them. Hopefully this will act as a test drive for new styles and a cemetery for past works to rest in peace.
Because of that I expect my work on a whole will look very schizophrenic, especially compared to many of the professional artists on this site. That's why I am approaching it with a loose attitude; I can look bad because this is inconsequential to my actual goals. I am not trying to become a millionaire from taking commissions or selling prints. So, whatever happens is no big deal. I can look like an unprofessional idiot and no one will notice.
That being said, I hope this experiment will help me define what I want from my professional career and settle some personal conflicts.
